Union Arts Center
AcoustiCloud founder/inventor Daniel Baruch utilized his extensive experience in audio design to address the acoustical challenges of this renovated 100 year old space. The upper hall of the Center is a 2,200 sq ft. open space used for performances of art and music. The acoustics were challenged by a room with a 16 foot high original pressed-tin ceiling and hardwood maple floors, along with 12 large window surfaces.
The AcoustiCloud solution, unlike traditional ‘wall-panels’ solution, required zero additional construction costs and disruption to the space, and eliminated the design and engineering concerns around new window trim, revised electric service and the critical ability to hang art on the wall surfaces. The acoustics were resolved while preserving the beauty and design of the room.
Union Arts Center has hosted a variety of performances following the AcoustiCloud improvement to the space. Opera singers, classical piano recitals, guitar works, and Shakespeare plays. In every case the artists and the audiences have been highly pleased and delighted with the UAC acoustics.
